Life is Short - Read Good Books
Come and find your favourite series of books or something new, our staff are always happy to chat and discuss the latest books as well as some of their old favourites. Literacy specialist and owner, Joanna, is available most afternoons and weekends. She likes nothing more than to discuss her favourite books and help people find the perfect read. She has turned many children struggling with their literacy into life-long readers purely by knowing which books will best suit their abilities and interests.
Here at Rona Gallery we are part of a small close-knit community and we love all of our customers to go out the door with the perfect book. Our staff, Wendy Pharazyn, Mary McCallum (author of “The Blue”), and Alicia Ponder are all avid readers and have a large and varied range of expertise.
My wife and I visited your gallery and bookshop on Sunday (18 September 2011) during our visit from Australia. We purchased a road works book for our 18mth son and another book for our 3 yr old daughter. During our visit the very helpful person in the shop (I think was Joanna) recommended we consider purchasing 'The Fierce Little Woman and the Wicked Pirate' for our 3 year old daughter as it is a good book for 3-9 yr olds. I am writing to thank you for the fantastic recommendation. Our daughter loves the book - we must have read it close to 20 times since returning home. It is a beautiful book and very engaging on a number of levels.
Thank you for the thoughtful recommendation.
