JdK textural handwoven designs are inspired from nature but with the wearer mind. Even the heavest textured wraps are soft & silky to touch.
The secret to JdK Textiles is the range of specilty fiberes used to create the textures desired. The use of silk, alpaca, merino, cotton and opossumn fibres create lightweight fabrics of interest. Jdk prefers to use natural fibres for they can offer a large aray of natural colours without requiring dyes, and the combination of textures between fiber and yarn types also helps create an experience for the wearer.
Leaine says she is lucky that most of her yarns and fibers are from the green hills of home New Zealand as she has more control in the quality of the final product.
