landscape & marine paintings - watercolors
The watercolor artist Jacky Pearson took up a full-time career in painting after
coming to New Zealand from Britain in 1991. In 1995 she was made Artists Member of the
Wellington Watercolor Society. Jacky has published calendars for the years 2000 and 2001,
of watercolor paintings of New Zealand Lighthouses, together with their histories. The lure of Jacky's paintings are their light and color, not just the light and color
from nature, but with the added magic of the artists interpretations.
Jacky has lived with and around boats since she was a child and so it is not surprising
that marine paintings make up a large proportion of her artwork.
"The sea and boats are just part of me."
Jacky has paintings in both corporate and private collections in New Zealand as well as
overseas.
