New Zealand artist Alan Collins was born in 1926, and moved to Eastbourne with his parents two years later. He now lives near R.Ponders' RONA GALLERY in Eastbourne. Alan's artistic career began as an illustrator for a London advertising agency. His landscapes, seascapes, marine and plein aire watercolours are delightful, and popular with the locals and tourists. His painting style is accurate and masterly, observing colour and light accurately while painting at the scene. His works show simultaneously in London and Wellington.
