Hayley has accomplished several sellout exhibitions, her work being in constant demand since she started her painting career in 1995. After spending a year in Auckland attending art school, Hayley returned to Tauranga where she worked part time at Harrisons Gallery as an Art Consultant. She continued to paint, developing her own techniques creating unique works of art. After her first Solo exhibit (held when she was just nineteen) was a sellout success, she was labeled as 'up and coming', and sparked the interest of galleries around the country. She has since shown her paintings regularly in Auckland, and now here at Rona Gallery in Wellington, as well as elsewhere.

Known initially for her bold landscape work, Hayley now pursues her primary passion - painting people, depicting form and personality. Her style is contemporary with a sophisticated use of layered colour. Dynamic aesthetics and a shining sense of character brings a unique appeal to each painting.

Hayley has until recently been based in Tauranga where she set up a studio for her painting and art workshops. Her talent for teaching soon built her a reputation as a sought-after tutor in acrylic painting, and her children's art programme "The Art Buzz" was a huge success during her time in Tauranga. Devoting so much of her creative energy to others gave Hayley much satisfaction but she found it exhausting whilst juggling her fast-moving career as a fine artist. During the course of 2000, Hayley left Tauranga and her students to concentrate on making painting a sole focus. Her recent relocation to Wellington has given Hayley further inspiration to move in exciting new directions.
