Samiha's Song by Mary Victoria
If ... you believe that I enjoyed Samiha’s Song then you would be right in a tepid way because enjoy is too weak a word to describe my reaction to this book. I was shock and elated, surprised and annoyed, and left deeply craving book three so I could carry on the saga straight away – which I consider a sign of good writing. Simon Litten
Tymon must leave his new home and his beloved Samiha in order to complete his Grafting studies with the famous Oracle of Nur. He travels with a fellow student, Jedda, to Cherk Harbour, a lawless city run by pirates and slave-drivers, where events rapidly overtake them. Tymon and Jedda fight their way free of the corrupt ruling class to finally locate the Oracle ... but she is unlike anything they could have imagined or predicted. Samiha knows her destiny is to bring about the so-called ‘End Times’, and is unable to escape the fate that has been predicted by Grafters down the ages. Put on trial on charges of grand heresy, Samiha is to be thrown into the mists of the unknown world below ... and Tymon may be unable to save her.
